Wine of the Week 2-24-20

Deeply colored, soft textured and full-bodied with black and red currant flavors in addition to plums, black cherries, and lightly toasted oak. The wine’s flavors are fresh and vivid, highlighting the wine’s fully ripe fruit and balanced acidity. The wine is soft but not lacking structure. Ample tannins provide a backbone to the rich, generous fruit.

Pair with barbequed chicken or beef, aged cheeses or a wild mushroom risotto.
